Landscaping Equipment for municipal operations is a significant contributor to operational GHG emissions, noise, and other pollutants. NYSERDA will provide credit to municipalities that have purchased electric landscaping equipment (e.g., electric lawn mowers, leaf blowers, etc.).
Submission requirements:
Submit an Electric Landscaping Certification Form that identifies sufficient pieces of electric landscaping equipment purchased for municipal operations will save at least five (5) tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually. The Electric Landscaping Certification Form (accessed in the Clean Fleets toolkit at www.nyserda.ny.gov/cec) will help calculate these emissions. Date of completion is when the equipment was put into service. The equipment must have been purchased on or after December 13, 2023 to earn credit.
